After an adventurous day in the South Tyrolean mountains, our wellness area offers the perfect retreat. Enjoy a soothing experience in the Finnish sauna, infrared cabin, jacuzzi, or relaxation lounge. Whether you're easing tired muscles in the sauna or whirlpool, or simply enjoying a good book on our sun loungers, relaxation is guaranteed.

The wellness area is open daily from 4 to 9 p.m., with flexible hours available upon request. For an additional €20 per person, we’re happy to provide a bathrobe and slippers.

For those who prefer active recovery, our indoor climbing area is at your disposal.

Cycling Fun in South Tyrol

For cycling enthusiasts and mountain bikers, Haus Santner is also the ideal choice! Völs am Schlern is an excellent starting point for numerous mountain bike tours, and the nearest cycle path is just a few minutes away, leading you from Panider Sattel to Karerpass. Additionally, international and well-known routes like those to Innsbruck, Verona, or over the Reschen Pass to Lienz are only 7 kilometers from our house.
Whether you’re hitting the trails on a mountain bike or exploring the region’s scenic cycle routes, adventure is just a pedal away! E-bikes are available for rent upon request, and if you bring your own bike, you can store it securely in our lockable bike storage. We’re happy to provide repair tools, maintenance equipment, and useful route tips to make your cycling holiday as smooth as possible.

Mit einem einfachen, halbstündigen Spaziergang erreichen Sie direkt vom Haus Santner aus diesen idyllischen Bergsee umgeben von einer atemberaubenden Bergkulisse mit Blick auf das Schlernmassiv mit der Santnerspitze. Alternativ bringt Sie von Juni bis Oktober auch das Gratis-Shuttle vom Dorf zum Weiher. Unternehmen Sie hier eine gemütliche Wanderung um den Weiher und durch den umliegenden Wald, kühlen Sie sich an heißen Sommertagen im erfrischenden Nass ab oder gehen Sie im Winter auf dem Natureis Schlittschuhlaufen! In der Atmosphäre dieses Weihers tanken Sie garantiert neue Energie!

An active winter vacation in Völs am Schlern is anything but dull, offering countless snow-filled adventures. Haus Santner is located just 7 kilometers from the Seiser Alm cable car, easily reachable by public transport, where you’ll find the beginner-friendly Seiser Alm ski area. Another great option is the panoramic cable car to the Catinaccio and Carezza ski areas, with over 60 kilometers of slopes for all levels and ski schools for both kids and adults.
For a truly unforgettable experience, don’t miss the renowned Sella Ronda ski circuit. In addition, there are over 80 kilometers of cross-country skiing trails near Haus Santner, as well as peaks perfect for ski touring. Snowshoeing enthusiasts will find plenty of suitable trails nearby, including 30 kilometers of signposted winter hiking paths and several toboggan runs. Are you passionate about South Tyrolean cuisine and traditions? Then don’t miss the annual culinary festival “Völser Kuchlkastl,” held every October. Local restaurants prepare authentic South Tyrolean dishes, making autumn an irresistible season for food lovers. The event’s name, "Kuchlkastl," comes from the traditional pantry where farmers' wives once stored their provisions.
From June to October, you can also explore the traditional farmers’ markets in Völs am Schlern, Seis am Schlern, and Kastelruth. Wander through the market stalls and treat yourself to fresh, regional products and local specialties.

Have you ever climbed a mountain with a true professional? Your host at Haus Santner, Helmut Kritzinger, is an accomplished mountaineer who has conquered all Seven Summits. As a passionate mountain and ski guide, Helmut loves sharing his expertise with guests. When he’s not off on a global expedition, he’s more than happy to guide you through the breathtaking South Tyrolean mountains, turning the seemingly unreachable into reality.
Helmut will lead you along special trails to the most beautiful spots in the Dolomites, including Mount Sciliar, the Catinaccio, the Vajolet Towers, Sassolungo and Sassopiatto, or even the peaks of the Three Peaks, where stunning panoramic views await. For more experienced mountaineers, he offers challenging climbing routes or ambitious glacier tours, with each program tailored to your specific requests and abilities.

Well-Informed for Your Trip to South Tyrol

Essential Information for Your Stay at Haus Santner
On request and for an additional charge of €10 per day per pet, you are welcome to bring your four-legged friends. Please observe the following rules: Dogs must be kept on a leash, including in the mountains and forests, to protect wildlife and preserve nature. Please also ensure that you clean up after your pet using the designated bags and avoid leaving droppings in nature.
Haus Santner is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from the town center of Völs and the bus stop. From here, you can take direct buses to Bozen (train station), Kastelruth, or Seiser Alm. The ski bus stop is only 100 meters away.
Your apartment will be ready from 4 p.m. on the day of arrival. For official registration, please provide a valid ID or passport upon check-in.

On your day of departure, we kindly ask you to vacate the apartment by 10 a.m.
Your reservation is confirmed once a deposit of 30% of the total amount has been transferred to the following bank account:

The deposit should be transferred to the specified bank account upon booking. The remaining balance, along with the final cleaning fee and tourist tax, can be settled in cash or by credit card upon your arrival at Haus Santner.
We understand that cancellations are sometimes unavoidable. Please be aware of the following charges: • Up to 2 weeks before arrival: 70% of the total amount • Within 4 days of arrival: 100% of the total amount In the event of late arrival or early departure, the full amount of the booking is due. We recommend purchasing travel cancellation insurance for your peace of mind.
The minimum stay is 3 nights. For stays shorter than 3 nights, we apply a supplement of 25%.
Children under the age of 3 can stay at Haus Santner for free.
We are pleased to offer the following facilities for communal use:
· Washing machine and dryer
· Drying machine for ski boots
· Parking space on our property
· E-bike (mountain bike) available upon request and subject to availability
· First aid kit
Larger groups looking to spend time together can use our common room upon request, free of charge. This spacious room in the basement features ceiling windows and includes:
· A kitchenette equipped with a sink, stove, fridge, and crockery for group cooking
· A table seating up to 12 people for shared meals
· A cozy couch area with a TV for relaxing together

Your Journey to Völs am Schlern

Finding Haus Santner

Coming from the North

Take the A22 highway and exit at Bozen Nord. Follow the signs towards Brenner until Blumau (approximately 5 minutes from the highway exit). Take the tunnel to Kastelruth and Seiser Alm. From the tunnel, it’s just 10 km to Völs am Schlern. At the roundabout in Völs, take the exit on the right towards Obervöls. You will then be on Schlernstraße, and after a few hundred meters, you will find Haus Santner on your left.

Coming from the South

Take the A22 highway and exit at Klausen/Grödner Tal. Follow the signs towards Bozen until Waidbruck (about 10 minutes from the highway exit). At the roundabout in Waidbruck, take the exit to Kastelruth and Seiser Alm. Once in Kastelruth, follow the signs to Völs. At the roundabout in Völs, take the third exit towards Obervöls. You will then be on Schlernstraße, and after a few hundred meters, Haus Santner will be on your left.

By Public Transportation (Bus and Train)

Take the train to the Bozen train station. From there, board bus number 170 to Völs am Schlern. The bus stop in Bozen is conveniently located just 20 meters to the right after the taxi stand. You will reach Völs in about 30 minutes. The bus from Bozen to Völs operates every 30 minutes during the week and hourly on weekends and holidays.
